What a Blessing is an interesting convergence of bakery, café, delicatessen and soul food and it works! The front of the bakery cafe opens to their tempting baked good display cases and lure patrons into the back dining room eclectically decorated and filled with really interesting antique sideboards. The bakery & cafe is much loved by locals and its reputation for their fresh baked goods is far reaching. The picture above is the Chicken Salad Sandwich. I can honestly say this is the best chicken salad I’ve had to date and they are my favorite type of sandwich. Saturday morning patrons have the opportunity to indulge in the breakfast buffet filled with standard breakfast fare, soul food and of course the enticing baked goods. What a Blessing is just that and well worth the drive to Amherst.
